During the day, re-hydrated meat
and vegetables. In a 3 quart pot, combine 4 cups of water with 4
tablespoons of oil and bring to boil. Stir in Long Grain & Wild
Rice and seasoning packet, bring to boil, cover and reduce heat
until all water is absorbed, about 5-6 minutes. In a separate pot,
bring to boil re-hydrated meat, and vegetables with just enough
water to cover. Boil until meat is cooked through. Add sausage
and vegetables to rice. Fluff and serve. Makes three 2 cup
servings.
